thumbsup.gif An interesting column. I saw the HCP back in the eighties with my children. I enjoyed it very much. Thanx for re-kindling that memory for me...

Underzealous Mormons? Isn't that an oxymormon?

"speaking of things to come as though they had already come": The timing of bringing back the American Flag opening just after fellow-Mormon President Romney's election might bring confusion to some - if they are familiar with the old opening, they may think that Mormons became patriotic because one-of-their-own entered office.

thumbsup.gif I think you are correct Bob. When I first moved to Rochester in the mid seventies, I would most years take my, at that time several kids and wife and we went to the pageant. As the years passed, and more kids came along we still went to see the pageant in all it's splendor. But you are right, as the years passed it changed and wasn't as good as in previous years. You know I'm not a Mormon, but those early times were good educational times And I took away good memories.

I think you are right on my brother, things need to be changed back using some of the old scenes and making the pageant more meaningful to us all.
